Our Story

B+D was founded in 1972 in Denmark and soon became a major player in Europe, the Far East and the Americas, gaining notoriety and growing market share initially in the hair and personal care accessories categories.
In the nineties, the company developed its B+D Sunglasses range and with the arrival of the new Millennium, they rolled out the now iconic B+D Readers.
In more recent years, the addition of the B+D Screen line was introduced to provide Blue Light protection glasses that quickly became a must have item for young and adults in this digital age.

Minimalist designs combined with original merchandising displays allowed them to conquer international travel retail expanding year after year into new markets. B+D offers Readers, Screen Protection and Sunglasses with high design and quality, together with their unique packaging, displayed in special exhibition tools, tailor-made for each product line. The “B+D concept” gives the brand a great and distinct personality, recognized by consumers around the world, converting it into the perfect proposal for sales in high traffic zones.

Supported by its 50-year long history, B+D is still viewed today as a young and growing brand. With a very strong online as well as ofline presence around the world, B+D has many surprises for the calendar year with its recently launched seasonal product dynamic, bringing new product releases to follow the year’s natural rythm and complement its standard lines.

Est. 1972, Denmark. Inspired on the bangles that support the ropes of fishing boats Ketty Dalsgaard created a line of plastic bracelets, designed in joyful and vivid pigments. This original combination resulted in a full line of accessories made of colorful plastic materials, that were exhibited in displays with branded backboards specially designed for high traffic areas, creating the B+D concept.
